We are solicitors in London but by no means London-centric. Our expertise reflects wide experience of business and the construction industry. We are familiar with general commercial contracts, the construction process and technicalities, construction law, construction agreements, construction disputes, building contracts, the financing of construction, and a wide range of construction and building areas such as standard form contracts, like the JCT. If you have never heard of the JCT no matter, we can still help you whether your needs be large or small.
We take time to listen, and to explain commercial and construction law with honest advice. If you need it we are also experienced in commercial and construction contract management, adjudication and litigation.
We are members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Technology & Construction Solicitors’ Association (TeCSA). We can act as an adjudicator or mediator, and as a solicitor-advocate for County Court and High Court civil proceedings.
John Philpott of Graftons is a solicitor-advocate and barrister, and was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn. He is also a Chartered Structural Engineer.
We have experience of working with Arup, Atkins, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports (was BAA), Grosvenor, the NHS and London Underground, developers, contractors and sub-contractors, as well as many private individuals.
